Khushall Garh Bridge has been closed for all kinds of traffic due to heavy rain in the district. The Jarma Bridge was collapsed so far bodies of 12 people were recovered from the debris and more are expected. At least 39 people were killed in flash floods during the last 48 hours and count will go up according to Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Khalid Khan Umarzai. Three Colleges and School were vacated for affected people of Flood and relief camps are also erected at other location where free food is provided to the people.

5 of a family die as rocket hits house

Five members including three minors of a family were killed when rocket fired by the militants struck a house in Darra Adamkhel Monday, tribal sources said. The sources said that militants fired a rocket from an undisclosed location that hit the house of Alif Khan in Akakhel area bordering Khyber Agency. The rocket killed five members of his family on the spot. The dead included two women and three children. No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the incident, which caused anguish in the area.

17 militants die in Darra clash

The security forces killed 17 militants and captured another eight in a clash during a search operation in Akakhel area in Darra Adamkhel Monday, official sources said. The sources said the security forces launched a search operation in Akakhel area and exchanged heavy gunfire with the militants. As a result, 17 militants were killed and eight others arrested. Security forces also seized two vehicles, arms and explosives from the possession of militants. Bodies of the militants were taken into custody while eight captured militants has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.

Deranged man shot dead for killing 5

A mentally deranged man killed five female members of his family in Bosti Khel area of Darra Adam Khel late Sunday night.




The political administration said that a mentally sick tribesman, Aetebar Khan, opened fire with a Kalashnikov in his house in Bosti Khel area. His wife, sister, two nieces and one relative were killed in the incident.



The local tribesmen reached the house and pulled out the man from the room where he had locked himself along with the body of his wife. He was later shot dead by enraged tribesmen who feared that he might harm more people in the area.



The area elders rejected the suggestion of sending the man to lunatic asylum and preferred to kill him.

Beheaded bodies of two pro-govt militants found

Beheaded bodies of two pro-government militants were found in Zor Killay and Bostikhel area in the semi-tribal Darra Adamkhel region on Wednesday, official sources said.




The sources said that militants belonging to the banned Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Darra Adamkhel chapter had kidnapped Dost Muhammad, Umar Khan and Jannat Gul from Shiraki village some four days ago. They said the militants later beheaded Dost Muhammad and Umar Khan, who were brothers, and dumped their bodies in Zor Killay and Bostikhel area in Darra Adamkhel. The slain persons belonged to Momin group of Darra-based pro-government militants, the sources said. The third kidnapped person was still untraceable and might be in the custody of the militants, they added.



Later, the political administration collected the bodies and handed these to the relatives. Meanwhile, three rockets fired by militants from unknown direction landed in the mountainous Sultankhel area near Jawaki in Frontier Region Kohat. The sources said the rockets missed the target and fell on the hills that caused no loss of life or damage to property
