Ten militants were killed and another six injured on Friday when helicopter gunships attacked a training camp of Tehrik-i-Taliban Darra Adamkhel in Tora Chinna.
Three hideouts of militants were destroyed as artillery fire on suspected positions continued on the second day on Friday. Eighteen suspected militants were arrested in Sra Mela and Sharaki areas.
The air strike follows the killing of a security man in an ambush by militants in Bostikhel area of Kohat Frontier Region on Thursday.
Official sources said a convoy came under fire in Bostikhel in which a security man, Sajjad, was killed. The body was brought to the combined military hospital.
A check-post was damaged in Akhorwal when militants fired four rockets.
