Police arrested a tribal elder along with his three sons for their involvement in terrorism and recovered huge cache of arms and five suspicious vehicles from their house in Khwasi Banda area of Kohat district on Sunday.

DPO Dilawar Khan Bangash said that they had received information about the involvement of Khan Akbar and his three sons in terrorist activities.

Police raided their house in Khwasi Banda in Jarma area of Kohat, arresting them and seizing Kalashnikovs, pistols, repeaters and five suspicious vehicles parked at a secret place.

Khan Akbar and his three sons -- Inamullah, Eid Akbar and Amanullah --were brought to Kohat in tight security.

Police said that they had links with Taliban. They had registered themselves as internally displaced people to sneak into Kohat from Orakzai Agency last month.

Meanwhile, security forces destroyed a 20-kilogram heavy improvised explosive device planted at a roadside in Darra Adamkhel on Sunday.
