The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) district chapter general secretary tendered resignation here Wednesday after cracks appeared in the ranks of the party. The party sources said a meeting was held at Shmashakki with its District President Maulana Tasleem Iqbal in the chair, which was attended by all members of the district executive council. The general secretary, Muhammad Zahoor, tendered his resignation, saying that he could not keep the office any more due to personal reasons.
